Post-war German school readers, all with the U.S. Military Government (OMGUS) approval line dated 13 May 1946. Includes Deutscher Blütenregen I & II (poetry for the 5th–8th school year; Bärenreiter, Kassel) and Deutscher Erntesegen I (prose for the 5th–6th school year; Lesebuch-Verwaltungskommission, Wiesbaden). Side-stapled softcovers, approx. 8" × 5.75", with period B/W illustrations (Thoma, Richter, Stößel). Nice slice of “Stunde Null” education history showing Allied-licensed textbooks used in German schools immediately after WWII.
General toning and handling soil to wraps and leaves; scattered spots/foxing; light staple oxidation; edge wear. One volume shows a faint cup ring on the front. Bindings sound with complete text; no loose or missing pages noted. See pictures for further details on condition.
