Antique C. T. Altwasser Porcelain Floral Centerpiece Serving Bowl White Pink Cark Tielsch 10.5" Made in Germany

Antique porcelain floral serving centerpiece bowl by C.T. Altwasser.

Unusual near, heart-shaped porcelain bowl in white and pastel pink colors with a delicate swirl rib design along the sides and a gently scalloped rim.  Lovely hand painted yellow and pink flowers decorate the center of the bowl. 

Made in Germany by C.T. Altwasser.  Carl Tielsch founded the Altwasser factory in 1845.  It swiftly became the second largest porcelain factory in Silesia.  Products of the Tielsch factory quickly became known for its high quality and artistic values.

Bowl measures approx.  10 1/2" L x 8 3/4" W x 3 1/2" H.

There is a large raised V. on the underside bottom of the bowl along with the stamped blue C.T. and Eagle crown mark that was in use from 1845-1909.  There is also a hand written number 9162 73 indicating the pattern, and a green Made in Germany stamp. 

Bowl is in very good condition with a bit of appropriate minor wear as expected from age/use.  It appears that there may have once been gold trim on the top of the rim which has since worn off as a few remnant flecks can be seen in a few places.  There is some wear to the stamped marks.  Please see pictures for more details.
