Boyd Glass Company, founded in 1978 in Cambridge, Ohio, became a prominent producer of these collectible glass animals and figures, including the popular hen-on-nest design. They often used molds from older companies and produced pieces in a variety of colors, including the distinctive peridot green associated with Vaseline glass.
