Details
Vinyl plays with occasional light-crackles, side one plays nicely (play-graded). Cover has light scuffing, surface impressions and slight discoloration with darker spots (front/back). Inner-sleeve is original (photo/lyrics/credits); one seam partially split. Spine is mostly easy-to-read with wear. Shelf-wear along top/bottom-edge and corners. Opening is crisp with signs of use and a few divots. (Not a cut-out.)
Chicago 17 capitalized on its predecessor's (Chicago 16) popularity by delivering their most popular album - seven times platinum in the US alone and a Grammy winner - and one which would spin off four Top 20 Hot 100 singles: the spare-sounding synth-rocker Stay the Night (No. 16), ballads Hard Habit to Break (No. 3) and You're the Inspiration (No. 3), and the bouncy dance-inflected Along Comes a Woman (No. 14). The album was the first to really embrace the MTV video age, and the four videos enjoyed widespread airplay. This album was the last Chicago album with vocalist/bass player Peter Cetera.
