This is a spectacular piece of art glass by Josh Simpson, made in 2001. It appears to be part of his Inhabited Planet series. It looks like a galaxy and it looks like a coral reef. It is one of the most amazing pieces of glass I've ever seen.

It's about 1.5" across and in excellent condition with no bruises or scratches. The base is flat with the signature JS01. (The white lines in the first picture are a reflection of the light fixture and not part of the paperweight.)
