Stunning 19th Century Gilt French Portrait Jewelry Box

Portrait is hand painted possibly on porcelain and signed underneath glass. This box is in good antique condition. Metal is most likely bronze. The clasp shuts tight and the hinge is in good order but a little of the metal rod is sticking out. There are spots of wear on bottom and a small dent on bottom edge. There are about 6 areas with green tarnished or dart spots around the gilt on the sides. The inside is brown velvet and is also in good condition.
