Vintage Luxium France Pear Ice bucket Aluminum Anodized Brushed Gold Tone MCM

Luxium produced pear shaped ice buckets sold out of Asprey London during the mid century time period. Asprey has been selling luxury goods in England since 1781. Green and red were more common color ways for this particular ice bucket. This gold tone pear ice bucket is hard to find, especially with the intact mercury glass insulating insert.

This piece does show its age in some minor dents around the edge of the lid as well as scratches and scuffs on the finish. The rubber seal and the cork base are present but the seal does become loose when the glass insert is removed. The glass insert has no chips or cracks but does show some patina on the Mercury finish.
