Ungemach Pottery was founded by Fred Ungemach in 1937 in Roseville, Ohio. They were in business until 1984. When he first began the business he called it South Fork Pottery, but in 1942 he changed it's name to "Ungemach Pottery Company". The design aesthetics were Art Deco, streamlined and futuristic. Fred Ungemach (1900-1984) had worked for the Nelson McCoy Pottery as a boy and later for Ransbottom Pottery (RRP Co) where he learnt both the business and design side of making art pottery. ~ Courtesy of Avveny
The planter is in excellent condition. There are no chips or cracks. There is barely any wear (may have been that way all along) and is located on the underside of the planter - please see pictures.
