These pieces were produced under the name Harkerware and manufactured by Harker Pottery of East Liverpool, Ohio, during the late 1940s'early 1950s. The pattern goes by several names, including Chesterton, Corinthian, and Pate Sur Pate. This cool light gray teapot measures 9 1/2" from handle to spout and 4" in height without the lid (6" in height with the raised lid). The piece holds 4 cups (32 ounces) of your favorite tea. The manufacturer mark reads: Harker Ware Pottery Est. 1840, Pate Sur Pate, Resists Acid, Detergents, and Craze. Excellent condition. No chips, cracks or crazing. It appears that it has never has been used and stored properly.
